Our Philosophy
"Childcare program in Alexandra Hills"
At our childcare centre in Alex Hills Early Education, we believe that every child is wonderfully unique and deserves to feel safe, respected and celebrated.
We are a team of passionate Early Childhood Educators and together with centre management we take pride in relating to children in nurturing and sustaining ways. We are innovative, professional and passionately dedicated in facilitating high quality early childhood education. Our team understands the importance of continually reflecting on our practices and we are willing to develop our knowledge of the early years in order to see growth within ourselves.
Our Educators and centre management are advocates for educating children’s “growth from within”. We are dedicated to fostering our children’s diverse needs and building the development of the whole child through a holistic approach – physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Our passion lies with nurturing self-esteem for resilience, so that learning will be a continual process. By focusing on the whole child, we believe we can foster resilient, respectful and caring lifelong learners.
We enjoy forming respectful relationships with all parents and families and welcome new families in our community with warmth and encourage open and compassionate communication.
We believe that secure, positive relationships underpin child’s development. When a child feels safe and valued, meaningful learning experiences can take place.
Play is highly valued as the most fundamental form of learning. We believe learning is organic, emergent and experimental. We believe a child will plant the seeds of interest and our Educators will be responsive and provide the resources to enhance and engage their learning.
Our Bush Kindy program at Alex Hills Early Education provides many benefits to connecting children with nature – both in potential improvements in physical and mental health and in improving development and play. There are also potential benefits to the environment, as a generation connected to nature is more likely to value and protect it. We believe nature provides an enjoyable space and objects for play and learning. Nature play invigorates the senses, nourishes well-being and stimulates the imagination.
