Adventures in Science Day

On August 17th the children enjoyed a morning of experiments and science activities. Miss Mel, our resident scientist, started the morning with an experiment to make “dinosaur toothpaste”. The children watched in awe as the mixture flowed out of a bottle.

Then the children created goop with cornflour and water and spent time squishing, pouring, spreading and manipulating it in various containers and across the table.

Our adventures in science day continued with lots of fun with popping bags made with bi carb soda and vinegar, balloon rockets, sink or swim and food colouring and bicarb soda, and shaving foam experiments.
